Coffee

Coffee is one of favorite beverage in the world. People usually prepare it either in hot water or with ice. Today, coffee is number two of the biggest commodity after Oil. It’s about 6.7 million tons of coffee produced in the period 1998-2000. In 2010, the coffee production will reach 7 million tons per year (from FAO)
Anyway, just for the information about Coffee. Coffee is the main source of caffeine.
 

 
Some people perhaps don’t like or maybe antipathy with coffee, even directly mention the dangers of coffee (caffeine that contained in coffee). However, let us try to find or learn about good and useful things from coffee itself.

There are some good things and interesting of coffee:

     1.  Caffeine that contained in coffee are chemical derived from one of plants that can stimulate the brain and our nerve systems. Caffeine is classified as alkaloids, also known as “Trimetilsantin”. Moreover, caffeine is also found in tea, cola, chocolate, energy drink (soft drink), or kinds of drug.
    
     2.   Caffeine is really helpful, because it helps you to able to think faster. Try, to consume coffee or tea 15 minutes or 30 minutes before you perform a job interview or giving a presentation to the boss. The result may be quite tolerable, because the caffeine that contained in coffee or tea proved able to provide ‘signals’ in the brain to respond faster and with agile memory processing in the brain
       
       3.   Caffeine prevents cavities. Try to drink a cup of hot coffee or hot after you eat cookies, chocolate cakes, candy or piece of sweet bread.          6.  Caffeine can make the body not get tired to fast. Could do physical activity for longer, it’s because caffeine makes ‘fuel’ used muscle much longer.

7. Caffeine can increase the sense of cheerful, makes us feel more refresh and energetic.

8. Woman who drunk two cups of coffee or more a day may reduce the risk of osteoporosis.

9.   Coffee can improve mental performance and memory because coffee can stimulate many areas of the brain that can manage to stay awake, arousal, mood and concentration. Research at the University of Arizona found that adults who drink coffee before a memory test showed significant developments than those who drank decaffeinated coffee.
 
         10.   Caffeine may ward off free radicals and destroy molecules that can damage DNA cells.

11.Caffeine also protects the heart and cancer.

In brief, it’s all returned with how many that we consume. In other word, don’t consume too much. And then, it is not only coffee, eating anything too much also cause side effects. Become sleepy and eventually disrupt the productivity of our work. “stop eating before satiety”,
