New DPR building plans

Indonesian is known as one of ten most populous countries in the world. It’s only under Republic of china, India, and United States of America. That’s why it’s very necessary role of the good government which is can control systematically the prosperity of theirs citizen. In this case, the parliament has an important role to help the people to achieve the prosperity. However, in fact there is too few that parliament can do for this country. They seem haven’t get any big achievement and recently, Parliament made a very controversial decision. They decide to build a new building. This certainly raises debatable issues.

First issue is about economic. Indonesia’s economic is erratic, it makes people too difficult to get their needs for everyday life. This causes their prosperity became lower and unstable. As we know, a country will be developed if get a big support from theirs people. So, how come the people can participate to build their country, if they are in economic problems? It is not appropriate if the government built a new building, when the people in trouble? A good Government is a government that prioritizes their People than anything.

Another is all of the national facilities which are provided to the council can be considered as the best thing that country had given. Another thing is they got High salaries, either basic salary or allowances. They also get a luxury house and a new car. They work in “Gedung DPR” which is still fit to use. This is because; the parliament building is still good. Therefore, there is no excuse for the government to approve plans to build a new parliament building.

The last is when we view it from the financial aspect. The new parliament program will reach Rp 1,138 trillion. This is certainly not a priority government program. The Indonesian current condition like this, a budget more than Rp 1 trillion is better used for higher priority. In Jakarta, where there are many building stand around. Surprisingly, the poverty rate is also relatively high. Of course it is our priority, not only in Jakarta but also in around of Indonesia. We must erase the poverty, and improving public facilities and the infrastructure.

 

In brief, actually this program is not in the right time with Indonesia condition. The things like, poverty of the people of Indonesia. Then, the facility of Parliament building is still good to use, and the last is about financial aspect. Its better used it for higher priority. Perhaps someday the government accept the program, I hope the there are better performance of the Parliament.
